Protests against Arshad Madani

LAKHIMPUR, Nov 15: Protests against the controversial statement made by Maula Syed Arshad Madani rocked Lakhimpur district. After the effigy burning programme initiated by the Lakhimpur district unit of Brihattar Asomiya Yuva Mancha on Monday, the activists of the Lakhimpur district unit of Hindu Yuva Chatra Parishad burnt the effigy of the president of Jamiyat Ulema-e-Hind at Malpani Chariali on Wednesday. The organization demanded the Union and State governments to arrest him immediately for his commul comment on a sensitive issue.
