Protests against BJP in Karbi Anglong

Donkamokam, February 5: Protests rocked Karbi Anglong against the BJP’s Vision Document for the Delhi polls where Delhi–based Northeast people have been described as ‘immigrants’.

Activists of Congress, Karbi Anglong committee burnt the effigy of PM rendra Modi and shouted slogans and displayed placards saying ‘BJP Go Back’, ‘PM Modi murdabad’ at Donkamokam and in Tumpreng in west Karbi Anglong on Thursday.

At Tumpreng, Chairman Veteriry Board, Dityalal Hasnu, who is also Rongkhang Block Congress vice–president, condemned the BJP’s ‘step–motherly treatment’ towards the people of the Northeast. “They have insulted us. We will not accept their clarification,” he said. “Their main motive has surfaced now, be careful of their politics of division,” added Hasnu.

 “It is not printing mistake, but a mistake of thought and we demand unconditiol apology from the Prime Minister,” said Chairman VDC Bithung Rengthama constituency, Motilal Bordoloi.
