PSPB Inter Unit Soccer kicks off

Duliajan, Feb 20: The XXXVII Petroleum Sports Promotion Board [PSPB] Inter Unit Football Tourment 2016-17 got under from Monday at Nehru Maidan, Duliajan hosted by Oil India Limited [OIL] .In the iuguration ceremony  Sudhakar Mahapatra , Director [Exploration &Development ] ,OIL was present as Chief guest while  Bedanta Prasad Sarma, Resident Chief Executive , Oil India Limited , Duliajan as Guest of honour. Welcome address was delivered by rendra Vashist ,General Mager HR Oil India Limited and President organising committee of the tourment . The PSPB Flag was hoisted by Chief Guest  Sudhakar Mahapatra , Director [Exploration &Development]OIL, while Guest of honour  Bedanta Prasad Sarma, Resident Chief Executive , OIL unfurled the OIL flag. A Souvenir brought out on the occasion was also released by the  chief Guest .                                                                                 

  In Today’s league matches NRL defeated CPCL [Cheni Petroleum Corporatio Limited] 8-0 ,Oil India Limited Team B defeated IOCL [AOD] 4-1. Bharat Petroleum Corporation limited drew goalless with Hindusthan Petroleum Corporation Limited.

For successfully organising the tourment a strong organising committee has been formed with rendra Vashisht ,General Mager HR OIL as president, Rajeev Baruah Dy General Mager ER OIL as Working President and Khirode Chetia , Chief Mager ER OIL as organising secretary .

The participating teams are defending champion ONGCL, BPCL, HPCL, IOCL [AOD], NRL, CPCL, EIL along with two teams of host Oil India Limited –OIL A and OIL B. It may be mentioned that PSPB is the apex organisation under the Ministry of Petroleum and tural gas vested with the responsibility to develop, coordite, promote and organise various sports & games amongst the public sector undertaking in petroleum sector of the country.
