Public Accounts Committee team visits Golaghat

Golaghat, Feb 13: A five-member team of Committee on Public Accounts of Assam Legislative Assembly visited Golaghat and conducted account survey in the district. The five-member team was led by Kaliabor MLA Keshav Mahanta. The other members were Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan, Bijni MLA Kamal Singh rzary, Lumding MLA Swapan Kar and Lakhimpur MLA Utpal Dutta.

On Friday, the team conducted accounts survey of different schemes of nine government departments in Golaghat.  Today the Committee on Public Accounts checked the expenditure in implementing of various schemes and conducted field surveys of different projects like Golaghat Stadium, Sati Sadhani Cultural Project , bypass road , newly iugurated steel bridge over Dhansiri river and Arsenic Mitigation Project of PHE department in Padumoni and Kakodunga. The team was accompanied by Golaghat Deputy Commissioner, CEO of Golaghat Zilla Parishad, Project Director of DRDA and other officials of the district administration.
