Public hearing on health held at Mawryngkneng

SHILLONG, May 18: 21 villages of Mawryngkneng Block along with government officials of various departments participated at a public hearing - Jan Sanvad - on Tuesday which was held at the Block Development Office of Mawryngkneng. The Jan Sanvad was a discussion and debate on the reports and findings from the 21 villages, 6 Sub Centers and 3 PHC’s under Mawryngkneng that was collected by “Grassroot”, Shillong, under the Community Action for Health, a community centered project under tiol Health Mission. The Moderator for the event was Dr. Joy Lyngwa, Joint DHS-cum-Nodal Officer, Community Process. Themes addressed were materl health, ASHA Support Services, Adolescent Health Services, general health in the village, child health, other schemes and services such as ICDS services, Mid-day Meal, RBSK, JSY, JSSK, MMBS, MHIS and conditions of infrastructure and services in such centers and PHCs.
