Public leaders demand removal of Waii

Itagar, Dec 28: Levelling corruption charges against RWD and Home Minister Kumar Waii, the public leaders of Bameng Assembly Constituency have demanded his immediate removal from the cabinet. In a joint representation to the Chief Minister, the public leaders alleged rampant corruption in PMGSY project implementation in Bameng constituency allegedly done by the RWD Minister, when he was holding the post of Parliamentary Secretary (RWD), leading the project into shambles in the constituency. They alleged favoritism and nepotism in awarding contract works, which according to them, was one of the main reasons for poor quality PMGSY projects in the state. According to them, the PMGSY projects in Bameng Constituency, which need urgent inquiry, are Pake-Bameng-Layak road, Pake-Khenewa road, Pakke to Bameng Road, Road from 24 km point of Seppa-Chayang Tajo road – Londa, Sangbia camp- Pafa road, Bameng-Tayung Road, Khenewa-mpe Road, Lengreriang-Effa Road, Richukrong- Sekang Road, 14 km point of Khenewa-mpe-Safew Road and Sekong-Kojo road.
