Public rally organized to mark Ekta Divas

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), November 1: Golaghat district administration observed Ekta Divas on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on Monday.

On the occasion, a public rally was carried out in the morning which started from Samanykhetra. In the public rally, students of colleges and schools of Golaghat town participated. The rally was iugurated by Gaurav Bothra, Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat. The DC took community pledge with a view to preserve strengthen unity and integrity. In this rally, the Inspector of Schools Hiren Gogoi and District Sports Officer Dilip Ranghang were also present.

In the conclusion, a meeting was held in the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office where a community oath taking for tiol unity, integrity and safety was administered. Similarly, the 142 Bn CRPF also observed the tiol Unity Day in a befitting manner in Unit HQr at Joki gar, Golaghat. In this connection a marathon race was held to mark tiol Unity where all officers and jawans took part. The programme was observed under the supervision of Deputy Commandant Achla Ram.
