Public spaces not to be med after Fidel Castro

Hava, Dec 4: The me and figure of Cuban revolutiory leader Fidel Castro will not be used for public places, streets or plazas nor will monuments, busts or statues be made in his memory as per his wishes, his brother and President Raul Castro has said. “The leader of the revolution rejected any type of cult manifestation of the public figure and was consistent with that attitude till the last few hours of his life,” EFE news quoted Raul Castro as saying on Saturday. Raul Castro said this in a speech during the fil act of tribute to Fidel in the eastern city of Santiago of Cuba. (IANS)
