Puja committee to install CCTV in pandals

DHUBRI, Oct 17: Dhubri Deputy Commissioner zrul Islam has directed all Durga Puja committees to set up close circuit camera and control room in all puja pandals with a view to keep  continuous vigilance on prevailing circumstances during Durga Puja. In a meeting held at the DC’s conference hall, the DC  urged upon the representatives of puja committees to arrange control room and close circuit cameras on their own .

 Dhubri SP Diganta Bora said that the police administration was going to set up close circuit camera and observing points in different places.  Police personnel would be on duty in civil dress and trained NCC cadre swould be engaged for smooth controlling of assembled people, added Bora.  ADC Dr Debojit Khanikar, Joint Director Medical and Health, Dr Shusil Chandra Das, EAC Chayanika Thakuria, DIPRO Bikash Sarma,7th Assam NCC battalion  Subedar Ranjan Kumar  Singha , former MLA Dhruba Kumar Sen, Puja co-ordition committee president Pradip Kumar Deb and secretary Kalyan Purakayast,  were present there.
