Itagar, May 10: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) took a serious dig at the state government, terming it as J P Rajkhowa’s government, going away from the usual term of Pul-Government.

In a meeting chaired by CLP leader bam Tuki here on Monday, all the Congress legislators alleged that the Raj Bhawan has turned into the head-office of PPA government and Rajkhowa is donning the role of its High Command with the blessings of the Centre.

The CLP also labelled Kalikho Pul as a dummy chief minister, who is acting as a puppet of the incumbent governor and therefore this government cannot be termed as Pul or PPA government.

“The Rajkhowa government has failed in all facets of effective governce and has been superlatively successful in befooling the people with tall claims and false promises. CLP, Congress and people of the state will not remain mere spectators henceforth,” CLP spokesperson Bamang Felix said in a statement.

“Law and order in the state, right from day one after Kalikho Pul became the CM has deteriorated. From gun-fires in the residence of Pul after he became the CM to the daylight murder in harlagun and the killing of innocent people in Tawang, all are examples of blatant failure of law and order machinery,” the CLP observed.

Fincial mismagement by the Rajkhowa government has also reached its pincle. What more misuse of power will be than the fact that on 31st March this year, schemes were put up, the same were approved, sanctioned, fincial concurrence given, funds released and cheques issued, all on the same day!

The party leaders resolved to go all-guns blazing in exposing the misdeeds of the Rajkhowa government in fincial mismagement and total failure in maintaining law and order as well as the unconstitutiol method adopted by the incumbent governor in forming the present government.

“The CLP will not allow a single paisa to be misused and keep vigil on all fincial transactions with an eagle eye,” the statement said.

“All eyes will be now on Raj Bhavan more than the CMO as we have enough documents to prove how Rajkhowa has misused his constitutiol chair to manipulate the Constitution and how the state government is working for individual interests,” the statement added.

To this effect, it was resolved that a strong delegation of CLP members, Congress leaders and civil societies will approach Raj Bhavan soon equipped with hard documents as proof of the misdemeanours of Raj Bhavan and CMO.

The Party leaders took strong exception to illogical transfer and postings of government officials – many at the behest of Raj Bhavan – which they claimed were done at the dead of night. CLP also claimed that all important files are being moved and approved during nights when everybody else were in their bed. They cautioned against the use of the office of the Chief Secretary in triggering random transfer and posting of government officials on flimsy grounds, which can be best termed as political vendetta.

The Congress government has never resorted to such political vendetta or victimized any government official or political activist. This can be the handiwork of only power-hungry people who do not have any self-confidence.

Meanwhile, the CLP Leader directed the members to put in all-out efforts to strengthen the party at all levels.
