Pul exhorts bureaucrats to rededicate themselves to duty

Itagar, April 22: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul on Thursday called upon the bureaucrats of the state to carry forward their responsibility with a mission by maintaining the dignity and the integrity of the services.

Addressing the top Civil Service Officers on the 10th Civil Service Day at Banquet Hall here, Pul called upon them to introspect, rededicate themselves by chalking out future strategies to deal with the challenges being posed by the changing times.

The chief minister urged them to maintain utmost impartiality and to carry out their functions in the highest traditions of objectivity and neutrality, an official report said here today.

With the growing awareness among the people, aspirations and expectations from the govt have also become more definite, the Chief Minister said.

He said, “We can no longer only talk of development in abstract terms of a better life or of a better living standard, but we need to redefine ourselves and deliver on these parameters”.

Pul announced to give best practices reward to officers, units or departments from the next Civil Service Day onwards. He asked the Department of Administrative Reforms to document all best practices and example of good works carried out by the officers, the report added.
