Itagar, May 7: Expelled Congress MLA and former Fince Kalikho Pul has fired another salvo at the bam Tuki-led Congress government alleging fincial mismagement which forced the state to plunge into deep fincial crisis“Even the banks have stopped paying government cheques as the state government account has been overdrawn in excess of the arrangements agreed upon with the Reserve Bank of India,” Pul told reporters here.He alleged that misappropriation of funds in the government has started the never ending vicious cycle of overdrafts which has been happening successively for the last two fincial years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015.“In addition to the burden of fincial liabilities and overdraft, there are many outstanding debts and loans from BARD, REC, LIC, NCDC and Postal Services and the sufferers of this fincial crisis are the Panchayat members, SSA employees and state government employees who haven’t got their salaries and the contractors their bills. Even the students are deprived of their stipends, lamented Pul.Further giving explation on the trouble the contractors facing while applying for works he asserted, “The contractors need to overcome 10 steps in order to pass the sanctioned fund and this is a very procedure and now when they ask about their bills to be sanctioned the state government, replies that it is deposited to the civil deposits and some of them have even sold their properties for the completion of the projects.”“The Utilization certificate which is still on demand by the centre in order to sanction funds is not been provided by the state. And again the contractors are the main sufferers,” he added.Proving his insights and seeking answers on the deficit amount Pul informed that the state government version of the deficit amount of 4484 crore is actually is 6911.55 crore between the fincial years and also exhorted that the public should question the government as its public’s money.“Now the government would say that the fund will come and we will mage everything, however the fact is that the fund which will come now is for this fincial year not for the previous one, and if the CM cannot handle the situation I think he should resign on moral grounds” added the MLA.He added that the state had come to an end in terms of fincial condition appealed everyone to come together in the fight against corruption.
