Pul's family releases fees for poor students

Itagar, Nov 8: Continuing with the initiative started by former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul to assist poor students of Hayuliang constituency undergoing education in various schools at the State capital, family of the departed leader has released an amount of Rs 7, 11, 400 to the Good Shepherd School at Papu llah as fees of the first and second instalments.

Rubu Nobin, the administrative officer of the school informed that after the mysterious death of Pul on August 9 last, the first and second instalments of the students remained pending for which the school magement was facing difficulties to run the school.

Informing that due to pending of school’s fees for several months, school authority had to apprise the parents of the students for paying the school fees, Tage Ado, a staff of the school informed.

“It was the generosity of Pul’s family, who did not only solve the problems being faced by the school magement but gave a sigh of relief to the children with timely release of the fees,” Ado added. The former Chief Minister has been sponsoring education to 16 students in the school.
