PWD minister lays foundation stone of two road projects at Batadrava

Batadrava, Feb 26: State PWD Minister ParimalSuklabaidyaon Sunday laid the foundation stone of two important road projects at Batadravaconstituency under Assam State Road Projects(World Bank aided).

The two roads are gaon-Morigaon district connecting road and Bebejia-Dolonghat road. These two roads were in a dilapidated condition for the last 15 years or so. The minister was accompanied by local MLA AngoorlataDeka,gaonSadar MLA RupakSarma, Morigaon MLA RamakantaDeuri, secretary of PWD department, Government of Assam, Rajesh Kemprai, actor-cum-social activist AkashdeepDeka and other officials of PWD.

Addressing the gathering at Chamuagaon, Suklabaidya said, “I am very grateful to be here in Batadrava, the land of the great saint SrimantaSankardev. The local MLA is trying very hard to develop the dilapidated roads of Batadrava and I can assure you that soon the problems faced by the people will be over. Our government is working to establish transparency and create a corruption-free environment in all spheres of development.”

Members of Dolonghat and Batadrava Block, BharatiyaJata Party (BJP) took out a bike rally from Chamuagaon to Dolonghat to welcome the State PWD Minister. The PWD minister along with the three legislators took part in a large public meeting at Dolonghattya Sara.In the meeting, MLA AngoorlataDeka thanked the people of Batadrava for their support and promised to continue her good work for the welfare of the constituency.
