Pyndenglitha School celebrates silver jubilee

SHILLONG, April 15: The Pyndenglitha Secondary School located at East Khasi Hills, today celebrated its silver jubilee. Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma and Transport minister H D R Lyngdoh attended the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sangma said that the school, which is nestled in a beautiful valley, is a manifestation of how blessed the students are with ture.

Praising the dedication of the teachers of the school in producing good results at the SSLC examition over the last few years, he said that the school has potential of attracting students from outside the area.

The Chief Minister said that there is a need to ensure that schools must have active involvement of the community and that the government is taking measures in this regard.

Also present at the closing function were Dr Celestine Lyngdoh, MLA, Umsning, Kennedy Cornelius, MLA, Mawphlang and former minister Lambor Malniang.
