Quake hits Shillong

Shillong, April 24: An earthquake of medium intensity struck parts of Meghalaya and its adjoining areas around 9.38 am on Tuesday. According to officials of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), an earthquake of 5.5 magnitude occurred on Tuesday morning at 09:38 am with latitude measuring 23.1 N and longitude of 94.4 E. The depth of the quake was 90-km with its epicentre traced at Myanmar-India border region.
