Quaran recitation organized

SHILLONG, July 27: The Shillong Muslim Union organised a Quran recitation on the occasion of the 1st death anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in the city on Wednesday. One year has passed but still the memory of Dr. AJP Abdul Kalam has not faded for the people who knows him and misses him. His departure is undoubtedly an irreparable loss for the tion and for the mankind as a whole.

The Shillong Muslim Union joins hand to observe the first death anniversary of this great visiory who breathes his last on July 27, 2015.

Observing the day, the Shillong Muslim Union organises a Quran recitation on the premises of Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Islamic Library and Information Centre, Madi Mosque, at Laban, Shillong.

Dr. Kalam, is remembered as a man, who spent years serving his country, first at ISRO and then being responsible for the success of AGNI and PRITHVI missiles. When he served as the President, he came to be known as the “People’s President.” However, more importantly, DR. APJ Abdul Kalam is remembered as a great teacher, he loves teaching and that what he did till his last breathe.
