Quiz & Art Competition Held in Sri Krishna Janmashtami

DHEKIAJULI: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Dhekiajuli unit on Sunday celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with a day-long programme at the Nagar Nimna Buniadi Vidyalaya, Dhekiajuli. The day-long programme for the celebration of Janmashtami was inaugurated by Chhabilal Upadhyay, president of Dhekiajuli unit of VHP. A meeting was held to discuss the philosophy of Lord Krishna. The meeting was presided over by Dipen Nath, a worker of the organizing committee. More than 100 people attended the function and prominent among them were Gopal Mishra, secretary, VHP Dhekiajuli Unit, Vibek Borah, Kajal Roy, Mridul Mahanta, social worker and others. Five different teams performed naam prasanga on the occasion. Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebration was also held at the ISKON Dhekiajuli on Sunday. In the morning, an art and quiz completion was held at the ISKON Dhekiajuli premises.
