Raax festival concludes in Kalaigaon

KALAIGAON, November 24: Along with the rest of the State, Kalaigaon Raax Udjapan Committee too observed Shree Shree Krish Raax Mahotsav with a 11 day-long programme from November 14.

The first day stared with cleanliness drive across Kalaigaon town. After that, Mukul Shaikia, president of Kalaigaon Raax Udjapan Committee, hoisted the religious flag and homage was paid by Deben Shaikia. Various events like cultural stage iuguration, gate iuguration, installation of idols and lighting of lamp were performed by several noted persons during the Raax celebration.  The last day of Raax celebration started with prabhat ferry on Thursday followed by Bhagawat Gita recitation.  A colourful programme was held where Mausumi Mahanta, Pallabi Tara, Biju Barsha and Kumar Bhabesh attended as artistes.
