Raax Mahotsav at Phulpanichiga concludes

GAURISAGAR, Nov 19: The three-day long 87th Phulpanichiga Raax Mahutsav was observed  at Anchalik Rax Utsav Kala Krishti Kendra, Phulpanichiga recently with great enthusiasm and traditiol religious  fervor.

On the first day, the programme started with hoisting of flag hoisted by Jogesh Kishore Phukan,  noted poet and former Principal, Amguri Aauniati Hem Chandra Dev H.S. School. In his speech Phukan highlighted the significance of the Raax festival. Thereafter, the smriti tarpan  and plantation sapling was done by social worker Podma Kanta Baruah  and Anil Baruah, retired officer, Oil India Limited. The Bhagawat procession was iugurated by Dr. Deba Prasad Borah, former Joint Director of Health Services, Sivasagar. The others programmes of the day were am Prasanga, Kirtan Path and Diha am. In the evening, after lighting of earthen lamp, Gayan-Bayan was demonstrated. At night Sri Sri Krishr Rax Krira bhao was staged by the artistes of greater Phulpanichiga area which enthralled the audience.

 On the second day in the morning, after performing am prasanga, Ai am was held. In the evening Panchamoni Sanmilita drama troupe of Charing Baruwati-Dulia village  performed Sri Ramor Darpa Chur Sataskondha Ravan Badha bhao  while at  night  Phulpanichiga  Silpi  Samaj performed Sabha Parba bhao.

On the concluding day, in the morning drawing and quiz competition were held among the school students. After the competition a prize distribution ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Premodhar Neog, former Headmaster of Phulpanichiga ME School. Dr. Manjit Gogoi, Principal, Jhanji HNS College and recipient of Oil Siksha Rat Puraskar, was the distinguished guest. In his speech he urged the students to follow the path of moral education. In the meeting, a handwritten magazine Indumati, edited by Robin Gayan, comprising articles of students was released by Dr. Manjit Gogoi.

 In the evening, Sangkhadhwani drama troupe of Samaguri performed Ben Rajar Upakhyan Prithu Avatar  bhao and  at night, Bhatiapar Sanmilita drama troupe staged  Kulachalor Mukti Lav bhao.
