Raghuth mbiar new Air Staff Officer

SHILLONG, 20: Air Marshal Raghuth mbiar has taken over as the senior Air Staff Officer at HQ Eastern Air Command, Shillong today.  He is an alumnus of tiol Defence Academy and was commissioned in the Indian Air Force (IAF) in 1981 as a flying pilot.  He is an experimental test pilot and has the distinction of having the highest flying hours on  Miarge 2000 aircraft in the IAF.  He undertook the decisive precision attack on Tiger Hill during Kargil conflicts in 1999 and had also been the Project Test Pilot for the Light Combat aircraft ‘Tejas’.
