Rajbongshis to protest Oram’s remark

GUWAHATI, June 22: To register protest against the remark recently made by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, the All Assam Koch Rajbonshi Sanmiloni will stage a sit-in protest in Guwahati on June 25. However, prior to the sit-in protest, the Sanmiloni will convene its executive meeting on June 24 in Guwahati to chalk out the detail of their action plan. This was informed by the general secretary of the Sanmiloni Himu Rajbongshi in a communiqué on Wednesday.

Earlier, Oram allegedly remarked that the six communities would have to wait at least 40 years to see their demand fulfilled.
