Rajdeep Goala lays foundation stone of master drain project

Silchar, April 30: After winning the by-elections held in 2014, Rajdeep Goala, MLA Lakhipur, visited Rupaibali GP for the first time last Tuesday. He also held a meeting in Rupaibali Manusa Baba Mukam, which was presided over by Gayasuddin Choudhury. Goala gave a cheque of Rs.1 lakh from the DDP scheme for the construction of water tank in the Mukam compound.

  Rajdeep Goala also laid a foundation stone of a master drain project. ‘Jakhal Moragang’ will be converted into a master drain.

  The project has been sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s special package and the estimated cost for the construction is Rs.1 crore, which will be undertaken by the Public Works Department (PWD) of Lakhipur.

  The MLA of the constituency requested the residents to cooperate whole-heartedly for the speedy completion of the project. He also said that it was the dream project of his late father, Dinesh Prasad Goala, who had assured the people of the area of constructing the master drain. Amongst others the members of zila parishad council (ZPC) Pradip Kumar Dey, social workers Chanchal Dey, Munibur Rehman Khan, Dulan Ree and Moj Kairi were present on the occasion and expressed their hope that the PWD will complete the project on a priority basis.
