Rajen Gohain assures steps for welfare of railway workers

GAON(HAIBORGAON), Feb 5: “Some workers of Indian Railways have been working dedicatedly for the development of Indian Railways but some are allegedly involved in various scams for which the Indian Railways has to face a huge loss,” said Union Minister of State for Railways, Rajen Gohain on Sunday while addressing a rally held on the occasion of the all-India mega session organized by the All India Railway Malgudam Sramik Sangstha at gaon Nehrubali field in gaon town.

Gohain further stated, “The workers of Indian Railways have various problems and their demands are to some extent logical. Their demands for free medical treatment, construction of rest houses and issue of identity card will be fulfilled soon.” Gracing the occasion as the chief guest, minister Gohain said that during the tenure of Prime Minister rendra Modi, the development of Indian Railways had been in leaps and bounds and in Assam too various new development schemes were being launched one after another so that the railway could touch every corner of the State.

Railway workers from all over the country thronged the rally. MP Jagadamba Paul also graced the occasion and said that the BJP-led Union Government would definitely work for the welfare of the railway workers.
