Rajth declines comment on Shiv Se's Muslim vote remark

New Delhi, April 13: Home Minister Rajth Singh on Monday refused to comment on ally Shiv Se’s demand that voting rights of Muslims should be scrapped. Interacting with reporters on the sidelines of a function here on ‘Untouchability No More’, the minister, when asked for his reaction on the remark of Shiv Se MP Sanjay Raut in the party’s mouthpiece ‘Saama’, only said: “Untouchability should come to an end.” He kept on repeating the same sentence as the reporters repeated the demand for his reaction. Raut, on Sunday, courted controversy with his article observing that the Muslim community was being used for vote bank politics and hence they should not be allowed to vote.  (IANS)
