Rally creates awareness on women empowerment

TANGLA, March 9: The 37 bn SSB Mangaldoi celebrated Intertiol Women’s Day in the Indo-Bhutan border area of Udalguri on Wednesday.  The programme was conducted at Bamanjuli, which was kick-started with an awareness rally involving students of Bamanjuli ME School, and the girls of nearby villages for creating awareness about the importance of girl child education and women empowerment. The programme was organized with the aim of changing the perception about girl child and for accelerating momentum towards gender equality and the empowerment of girl and women in society.
