NAGAON: “The rally we proposed will be held on November 17. But the venue has not been confirmed yet. When it will be finalized, we will approach the government for permission,” Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev said on Monday in Hojai while interacting with local media persons. He said that in the proposed rally, the organizations of the linguistic minority groups expected cooperation as well as the presence of the ethnic people of the State. He stated that the organizations would confirm the exact venue on October 25 and thereafter would approach the leaders of the ethnic organizations of the State for their support and co-operation. He stated that the proposed rally was not for creating conflict among the communities of the State, rather it was a rally for harmony among all.

On the other hand, referring to ULFA (I) c-in-c Paresh Asom (Barua), MLA Dey said that he had been working for the greater interest of Islam under the constant pressure of Islamic terrorist organizations or Islamic fundamentalist organizations.
