Ramdas Athawale Calls Review Meeting In His Visit To Pasighat

PASIGHAT: Minister for the state for Social Justice and Empowerment, Ramdas Athawale in his visit to Pasighat called a review meeting with the various department heads of Social Justice and Empowerment on Wednesday.

The minister while presiding over the meeting asked the district department of Social Justice and state, in general, to disclose on the various scheme, project implemented in the state and asked on problems faced if any in the state.

Speaking on Old Age Home (OAH), Ramdas ensured to work to bring the project for constructing the same in the state very soon and look into the reason why the Old Age Pension (OAP) is not disbursed by the Central government to the state after the year 2026_17.

Calling for individual responsibility to disseminate various schemes and project under the Department, Ramdas Athawale asked the heads to be the part of state development and positive change in the Society.

He also asked on scholarship, where it was informed that in the year 2017_18, around 18,683 students of Post Metric and around 3794 students from pre metric were disbursed scholarship through DBT.

Later he also discussed on incentive provided by the Central government for Inter caste marriage and ST & SC Atrocity Act. “We as a leader and head of department should not confined us to just ST, SC and OBC but work for all round development of the country,” he said adding that under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi the country has reached the highest level of development in various sectors.

In the side-line, while attending party meeting, Ramdas Athawale who is also the national party president of Republic Party of India (RPI_A) declared Mongol Yomso as the MP contender from East, in the coming Lok Sabha elections. Mongol Yomso is the Arunachal Pradesh party president of RPI (A). Declaring Yomso as the MP contender, Ramdas appealed the people of Siang district to support his party for better living.
