Rath Yatra marks centery celebration of Bharat Sevashram Sangha

TANGLA, Feb 3: The followers of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), an intertiolly recognized philanthropic organization, organized a grand programme to mark the centery celebration of BSS at Tangla on Friday.

A Rath Yatra was taken out by its followers on the occasion from Tangla HS field throughout the town. The Rath Yatra was flagged off by DN Hazarika, ADC Udalguri, in presence of JK Bhattacharya, assistant general secretary of AASU and Malai Lahiri, noted lawyer.

In the evening an open session was also held where Swapan Accharjee, president of reception committee delivered the key-note speech. Dr Kusum Kr. Goswami, Rabindra Sarma and Dr.Anima Bhuyan, lecturers of Tangla College, graced the event.

Speaking in the open session, Sadha ndaji said, “It is quite an irony that though Hinduism is one of the oldest surviving religions, Hindus have faced persecution in Afghanistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh.” He exhorted the people to maintain harmony and preach the message of brotherhood among Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and Sikhs.

The other saints, referring to the 100 years of glorious service to mankind (1917-2016) by the Bharat Sevashram Sangha, emphasized the meaning and importance of ‘Karma’ and ‘Sangha’ in one’s life.

Four saints of Bharat Sevashram Sangha - Swami Sadandaji, Swami Mrinmoa ndaji, Swami Ganesha ndaji and Biswajit Maharaj, were also present.
