Rats nibble woman's body in mortuary

Bhopal, Jan 4: A three-member probe team has been set up here after the body of an elderly woman kept in a mortuary was allegedly nibbled by rats. The body had been kept at the mortuary in the Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd’s (BHEL) Kasturba hospital. The 68-year-old woman had died at the hospital on Saturday night. While being taken out from mortuary, her family members noticed bleeding in the body — and discovered the rat bites. BHEL’s chief health and medical officer A.K. Dave told IANS on Monday that there were wounds in the neck and other parts of the body. (IANS)
