Ratul Gogoi's family receives compensation

DEMOW, August 17: In Karbi Anglong district under Rongmongve Police Station, suspected KPLT militants fired at the Rongmongve Police Station on the night of August 12 due to which a constable of Hadhachuk Gaon of Nitaipukhuri as well as 11 Assam Police Battalion, who worked in Rongmongve Police Station, died.
On August 14, Ratul Gogoi’s family received  Rs.1 lakh from Assam Police. On behalf of Mukesh Sahai, DGP of Assam Police, And Prakash Tiwari, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sivasagar district and Moni Mohan Koch, OC of Demow Police Station, went to the residence of Ratul Gogoi and handed over the cheque to Poli Saikia. And Prakash Tiwari, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sivasagar district, said that steps as well as responsibility would be taken by the Assam Police for the education of Ratul Gogoi’s children Satyajit and Kisti.
