Itagar, April 13: The Trans Aruchal Highway (TAH) connecting Lower Dibang Valley district has predomintly eased the traveler to drive with shorter time to reach Roing, the district headquarters from Tezu in Lohit district which, is merely 65 Km in distance. The tiol Highway Double Lane (NHDL) specification under Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) has radically reduced the distance of 25 km evading Assam road, sources from Tezu informed here today.

Regrettably, inordite delay of a 426 meters span RCC Bridge being built over the Dipu River near Bhiskmakgar has caused much inconvenient to the travelers.

Till date only three slabs were made and three more are yet to be casted.

The then OC 1446 BCC Dimwe committed to complete the bridge by March 2015. However, the present incumbent extended the deadline to March 2016.

In dry season traveler mostly used this road when water level receded considerably. In rainy season the river becomes uncrossable due to swelling of water level.

“This delaying practices of BRTF has caused immense inconvenient,” rues one of the travelers.

“Bridging the gap of 426 meters span could be herculean task for the BRTF if the bridges would have been over the Dibang and Lohit River but these Dipu at Bhismakgar, Aba at Abango and Inju at Koronu of Lower Dibang Valley are rivulets which could be completed in time,” he further comments.

Meanwhile, both the villagers of adjoining Dipu Rivers and travelers made an earnest appeal to the 1446 BCC Dimwe to bridge the gap for the smooth vehicular movement in the interior and iccessible district of Dibang and Lohit, the sources added.
