Re-polling in North Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: Due to anomalies in ballot papers and electoral roll, fresh poll (re-poll) will be held at 27 polling booths of 10 gaon panchayats under North Lakhimpur subdivision on Monday. In pursuance of State Election Commission’s approval for holding the fresh poll vide letter No. SEC 74/2018/52 dated October 8, Lakhimpur DC Dr. Jeevan B declared local holiday on Monday in these 10 GP areas on account of the fresh poll.
