SHILLONG, April 8: The Department of Arts & Culture held a Reading Challenge Story Lab workshop for students aged 5 to 13 years (class 1-8) in the city today. There are about 11 schools 300 students from across Shillong who are participating in the workshop. The event is scheduled from the 8th to the 11th of April 2015. Suha P Marak, Monologist, Dept. of Arts & Culture Government of Meghalaya, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Marak said that the young students need these kind of event in this technology driven world. She also said that the organizers had done a great job in putting this event together because its innovative and will inculcate and cultivate the children’s reading habits right form a very young and tender age.
