Release pending salaries: ACS

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

ITAGAR, Feb 10: The Aruchal Civil Society (ACS) has strongly urged the higher authorities of the Rural Development (RD) department to release the pending salaries of the employees as soon as possible. Stating that there is a bias treatment to the employees as reason given by department for not releasing the salary is due to absenteeism of the employees, the society in its statement wrote, “We would like to question the RD department that if taking leave is wrong for those needy employees, then even the high rank officials should not take leaves. We have come to know that the senior officials do take leaves but there is no one to question them.” “It has been four months since the last salary was released and the employees are facing hardship while many are even uble to meet their daily expenses,” it added. Meanwhile, the ACS has also requested the 21 dissident MLAs to return in the state soon and take accurate decision on what steps are to be taken next. The society further appealed that in the best interest of the society and the state as a whole, forming a good and stronger government is better instead of staying in the tiol capital which is indirectly not helping anyone.
