Release SSA salary on time: Education Secretary

Itagar, Feb 18: The Aruchal Pradesh government has instructed all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs), including Capital Complex, to ensure timely release of salaries of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers in their respective districts. This instruction has been given following reports from few districts that the District SSA authorities were not disbursing the salaries on time despite release of fund, Secretary Education Bidol Tayeng stated in his letter to the DCs. The Secretary requested the DCs to look in to the status of release of monthly salaries of SSA teachers in their district and ensure that the salaries are released to the teachers immediately on receive from State Rajya Mission. “Fund for monthly salaries is being released by the State Rajya Mission to the Districts Mission every month since April, 2016. But reports have been received from few districts that the District SSA Authorities are not disbursing the salaries in the district on time,” the letter said. The Secretary also directed SSA, Rajya Mission to release the monthly salary to districts on time. Tayeng requested the DCs to enforce ‘No work no pay’ against the absentee teachers after proper verification.
