Relief materials distributed to fire tragedy victims

Dibrugarh, June 11: The magement of the Brahmaputra Diagnostics and Hospital Limited (BDHL) and the members of an NGO called Mentally Disabled and Child Development Committee on Friday distributed relief materials to the injured and affected families of the fire tragedy that broke out here in Panchali area on the night of June 7. The relief materials which were distributed to the distressed as part of the social activity, included sarees and kurta pyjamas. Free eye operation and cash of Rs 10,000 to the victims who had injured their eyes in the aforesaid fire disaster were also arranged. Moreover, mechanical tools were given away to a local garage med Ramth Garage and 20 bundles of new tin sheets for the damaged homes. The victims of the fire incident of June7 were also given assistance by the members of the Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sanmenlan (ABMMS) Dibrugarh Branch, who had set up a distribution counter for giving away dry food item packets and clothes to the families. Altogether 50 families were provided helped by ABMMS as part of the organization’s Prantiya project titled ‘Sharirik aur Mansik Rogiyo Ki Sewa’.
