Restriction imposed on use of school field in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh, June 1: In the office of the Additiol Deputy Commissioner (Administration), a meeting was held on Tuesday to discuss on the directives to be followed by any groups or any organizations that intend to utilize the Old Government Boys’ High School Field at Jhalukpara, for any commercial purpose. As per the decision of the meeting, any such group or organizations willing to use the High School Field at Jhalukpara on commercial purpose will have to pay fees as approved by the Dibrugarh Municipality Board (DMB). Moreover, prior permission has to be sought from the district administration and DMB for use of any hoarding or banners for publicity purpose by such organizations. No objection certificate (NOC) must be obtained by paying of municipal taxes and commercial fees to DMB, which were some of the other important decisions resolved at the meeting. Meanwhile, the authorities of DMB have taken responsibility to clean up the field, thereby electrifying the adjoining roads linking the High School field. The discussion was attended amongst others by Additiol Deputy Commissioner (Administration) Sajjad Alam, Assistant Commissioner, Mirza Hussain, vice- chairman of DMB, Joganda Senchowa, and Revenue Shirastadar, Kishor Das.
