Review meeting on scheme implementation held

GOLAGHAT, Feb 24: A meeting to review the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yoj in Golaghat district, was held today at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Bothra. The DC directed the Deputy Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, H.N. Doley to ensure speedy implementation of the scheme in the district.  ADC and SDO (Civil) Bokakhat Dhiraj Das and SDO (Civil) Dhansiri ren Chandra Basumatary also took part in the review meeting.  Deputy Mager (Sales), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Debashish Das, who was also present in the meeting explained the criteria for selection of beneficiaries under this scheme and requested the help of the district administration to facilitate the process of selection of beneficiaries.  Block Development Officers (BDOs), officers and staff of the district Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs office along with owners, proprietors and representatives of various LPG gas agencies were present in the meeting.   The Deputy Commissioner asked all concerned to ensure that only women belonging to BPL families and above the age of 18 are selected as beneficiaries under this scheme and directed all to implement the scheme on a war-footing. The DC also asked all ensure strict compliance of Government directives while implementing the scheme and assured all possible help from the district administration in this regard.
