RGVN Rangia branch looted

Rangia, July 14: Around Rs 68,000 was looted by three miscreants at Dhulabari near Rangia under Kaurbaha outpost on Thursday morning from the staff of RGVN (Rastriya Gramya Vikash Nidhi), Rangia Branch.

According to the police, two staff mely Guneswar Deka and Bikash Baruah of RGVN micro fince went to the village for collecting money from the borrowers. On the way to Rangia office, the miscreants stched the bag of money and attacked the staff.

They also took away the motorcycle bearing no. AS 14 E 9552 belonging to the staff. When the two started shouting, the local people came out and recovered the motorcycle from a nearby bush. Police detained the two for interrogation. The incident has created panic in the area.
