Rights of Hindu Bengalis to be discussed at AABYSF meeting

Dibrugarh, February 16: With regard to the future role of the All Assam Bengali Youth- Students’ Federation (AABYSF) on the issue of granting permanent citizenship to Hindu Bangladeshis and the alleged indifferent attitude of the Central and State governments towards the Hindu Bengalis, residing in Assam, an executive meeting will be held by the district unit of AABYSF at India Club and Theatrical Institute in Dibrugarh on February 21.

The general secretary and publicity secretary of AABYSF, Nirmal Kanti Sheel and Bapi Sarkar, respectively, in a press communiqué, have called upon all the presidents and general secretaries of the district committees and officials of the newly-formed central committee to be present at the executive meeting for addressing sensitive issues like grant of tiolity and rights of Hindu Bengalis in the State.

A press conference is also scheduled to be organized by All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation on February 21.
