Rihon Daimary vows to work for people's cause

TANGLA, May 26: The newly sworn-in Cabinet Minister of the State, Rihon Daimari will devote his time to work for the welfare people of the State, including the four districts of BTAD, so as to maintain peace and prosperity in the State.

As in the past too, the elected MLA of Udalguri LAC gave special priority to the potable drinking water problem faced by the villagers along the Indo-Bhutan border. Talking to media persons and referring to the man-elephant conflict along the border villages of the district, Daimari maintained that the problem prevailed in all border areas to some extent, and that he would draw the attention of the State Government. Daimari also assured to repair and renovate the drinking water plants which had become defunct immediately after operation in the district town.

The jubilant party workers of BPF and BJP also reportedly celebrated the inclusion of Daimari in the cabinet of the Sonowal ministry by bursting firecrackers in the district town.

Daimari bagged a total of 45,037 votes in the recently held assembly elections from the Udalguri LAC and was able to retain the seat for the fourth consecutive term.

Meanwhile, the Asom Nepali Sahitya Sabha, All BTC Gorkha Sanmilan, Gorkha Development Council (GDC), also hailed the new State Government.
