Rijiju assures to act as bridge between Centre, state

From Our Correspondent

Itagar, Feb 10: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has assured all out support to Aruchal Pradesh in developing every district of the state.

Addressing a meeting at Seppa in East Kameng district on Thursday, he called upon the panchayat leaders to cooperate with the state government and promised that he would be the ‘bridge’ between the Central government and the state government, an official report informed here today. “I can tell you within the last two years so many road projects have been sanctioned for East Kameng that did not happen in the last 17 years,” he said. He hailed Chief Minister Pema Khandu saying despite being the youngest chief minister of the state his ideas were fresh.

“Khandu’s ideas and commitment to work for the people and the state are unlimited. I can say with conviction that under his rule the state will develop like never before,” Rijiju said.

The minister while welcoming the PR leaders into BJP appealed all to maintain bonhomie and work to strengthen the government both at the Centre and the state. “Please avoid the tags ‘old BJP- new BJP’! Now we are all one family. There may be differences within members of a family but that does not mean we break away from the family,” he added.
