Rising crime against women discussed

GOLAGHAT, April 10: The central committee organizing workshop of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) and convention of State Mahila Parishad was held at Golaghat under the patroge of Golaghat district committee AJYCP recently with a two-day long programme.

 In a press statement, the general secretary of Golaghat AJYCP, Nikunja Medhi said that more than 500 members were present in the organizing workshop. The programme was presided over by Hemchandra Goswami, vice-president of AJYCP and aim and purposes of the programme was elaborated by assistant general secretary of AJYCP, Jitul Rajkhowa.

 On the second day, AJYCP State Mahila convention was held where AJYCP president Putul Dutta presided over the meeting and purpose of the meeting was elaborated by the secretary Polash Changami. In the convention, most of the representatives of district committees were present where the issue of rising crimes against women was discussed. Measures to prevent crimes against women were also discussed.
