River Rine win Maharshi Bora Cricket trophy

GUWAHATI, April 9: River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre lifted the 2nd Maharshi Bora Cricket Tourment title beating Bud Cricket Club in a one sided fil by eight wickets at the Judges ground here today.

Opting to bat, Bud Cricket Club scored 139-9 in their stipulated 30 overs. Manjeet Choudhury, the top scorer of the team, contributed 30 runs with the help of two boundaries and two sixes. Saahil Jain (27 ) and Manikar Sharma (20) was the other notable contributors. Abir Chakraborty and Abdul Aziz picked up two wickets each. In reply River Rine Cricket Coaching Centre, rode on a fine unbeaten half century from Abdul Aziz, reached the target easily losing two wickets. Abdul remained not out on 51 and there were five boundaries and two sixes in his innings. Abdul was later selected for man of the fil award while Sahil Jain adjudged man of the tourment award. Bishal Roy and Samir Sarma received  best batsman and best bowler award of the meet.
