Road mishap claims one life, three injured near Tinsukia

DIGBOI: In a tragic road mishap that occurred at Makum-Borguri bypass at Lasenga village under Tinsukia Police Station on Sunday evening, one succumbed to his injuries while another three, including a female, were injured.

According to Hiranya Bora, the Traffic Inspector of Tinsukia, the deceased was identified as Prabin Karmakar of Tinsukia while Prince Gogoi, his friend Roktim Gogoi of Bapapung area in Digboi along with a girl were injured after the two speeding Yamaha motorcycles collided.

The deceased was driving a Yamaha bike bearing registration number AS23P 8611 with a female pillion rider. The bike collided with another Yamaha bike (AS23U 4188) driven by Roktim Gogoi.

The three injured persons were immediately rushed to the nearby Tinsukia Civil Hospital and later shifted to private nursing home in Dibrugarh for advanced treatment. According to latest inputs, the injured who sustained multiple injuries were reported to be out of danger and receiving advanced treatment in Dibrugarh till filing of this report. Prabin Karmakar belongs to Doijan Tea Estate in Doomdooma.
