Road mishaps

SHILLONG, Dec 23: Several persons were left injured in separate road mishaps in Meghalaya on Wednesday. In the first incident, a passenger bus (ML05F – 0804) returning from Mawngap after a picnic party overturned at Arwah in Sohra in East Khasi Hills district. At least 8 person sustained injuries in the accident and were shifted to Sohra CHC. In another mishap, a driver of a Maruti 800 sustained injuries when the vehicle fell into a drain at Goiragre under Rongram Block in West Garo Hills district. Similarly another driver sustained injuries when the Maruti Ritz (ML05L – 9425) hit a wall when the driver was trying to avoid a collision with a Scoter coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place near Bimola at Iewduh, Shillong.
