Robbery on NH-37

JOYSAGAR, May 24: A gang of robbers hijacked a truck (AS-23-G-1722) from Rajabari Rajmai area under Sivasagar Police Station on Wednesday. The truck was loaded with tea boxes worth many lakhs of rupees and was coming from Tinsukia. The robbers brought the truck near Demow and later left the driver Sanjay Singh on the NH-37 and fled with the truck. The truck driver informed local police immediately and a police team rescued the driver but could not find the truck or the robbers. Investigation is on.
