‘Role of conscious youth indispensable’

Dibrugarh, July 3: “In order to achieve success in competitive examinations of the likes of Indian Civil Services, it is essential to follow an organized and well-planned life along with putting in a lot of hard work,” said Additional DC, Dibakar Nath, while speaking recently at the inauguration ceremony of the four-day training camp of Civil Services Examination, organized by the North East Institute of Advanced Studies (NE – IAS) in association with DHSK College. Held at the premises of DHSK College, the foundational course and the doubt-clearing session, which successfully concluded on Tuesday, witnessed the participation of around 300 aspirants. Founder of NE – IAS, Keshav Charan Das, while addressing the gathering, said that the contribution of a conscious society of youth was indispensable for the sustainability of a healthy community. Such young people can play a crucial role by assuming the charge of the administrative machinery, he observed. The principal of DHSK College, Dr. Sashikanta Saikia, in his speech, underlined the importance of such training camps for the UPSC aspirants. In the training programme, many resource persons, including the Director of NE – IAS, Shankar Rai; one of its faculty members, Ayush Babu and a senior office-bearer, Sashank Gupta Kashyap, imparted training to the aspirants present, while also answering many of their queries.
