Rongali Bihu celebrated at Gaurisagar

GAURISAGAR, APRIL 23: Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) ,Gaurisagar Anchalik Samiti  organized Rongali Bihu at the premises of Gaurisagar ASTC bus stand complex recently.

The Rongali Bihu programme included flag hoisting, smriti tarpan, plantation of saplings, drawing and Bihuwati competition. In the evening invited Teok Bor Luit and Majuli chani Hussari team performed husori. Many senior citizens of Gaurisagar were felicitated for their contribution towards the field of social development.

A souvenir titled Gumseng, edited by Tapan Kr th and Montu Kalita, published on this occasion was released by social worker Baloram Borah. At night a cultural function was held. Biswajit Tipomia, joint secretary, Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) central committee formally iugurated it. Noted artiste Bidya Sagar perfomed songs which enthralled the audience.
